Let me introduce you to Brandy. When I joined a roller derby team last year, she joined half way into the boot camp. Being in "fresh meat" with someone is like being in your graduating class together. You practice, learn, and struggle together, and congratulate each other when you finally reach those big accomplishment goals.
Brandy had her derby career frozen. As soon as we finished boot camp, she found out she was pregnant! It was sad not having her silly, smiling face at practices. When she asked about doing a boudoir bump session, the gears started turning. These are one of my FAVORITE type of sessions to do, and I knew she would be an excellent model for me! I wasn't wrong. We had so much fun taking photos at the Joshua Inn Bed & Breakfast in Hollister.
We joked about if the baby girl would come early or late, and about how there really wasn't much room left to grow in Brandy's tummy. Little did we know.....! On her way home from our shoot, Brandy informed me that her water had broken. 6 hours after our session, baby girl was born- 3 and a half weeks early!!
Brandy was beautiful and glowing. I decided to showcase the black & white theme of the session. Ladies, if you know anyone who is pregnant and wanting to feel pretty, wants an elegant memory of pregnancy, send them my way! (Or hey, just regular, old-fashioned boudoir would be great too!)

Fall Family Time
Before all the Christmas rush began, I had the pleasure of taking photos for this cute little family. Most of you probably won't know, but, this family was one of the very FIRST jobs I ever did as Linda Atkins Photography. I must say, I've come a long way from that first family session I had with them. When I first took their photos, these twins weren't even crawling yet. I can't believe it's been 3 years already!?!
We met at Garin Park, and had a fun time crunching through the leaves, and letting these little kids ham it up for the camera. They were a great bunch to hang out with for an hour on a Sunday afternoon!
There's more than Christmas in the air!
One of our long time family friends got engaged, and I was SO super excited when they asked me to do some couple photos for them!
Richards family has been a part of my husbands life for years and years. I like to say we go wayyyyy back. No matter how much time passes in between seeing them or hanging out with them, each and every time is full of laughter and smiles!
I'm excited to see how life evolves and changes for Rich & Michelle as they take these next steps in their relationship!

Calendar for a Cause
I had the privilege of shooting & then designing a Derby Girls calendar for my roller derby team. October was packed with small groups of women dressed up in different themes, and we all got lots of dirty skate wheels!
My team is raising funds for new uniforms, and training equipment. Roller derby is a strenuous sport that requires more than just throwing your skates on a couple times a week! We would love for you to be a part of our cause, and maybe purchase one or two of our calendars! Fairytale Anniversary
I had the pleasure of shooting one of my return clients' 10 year wedding anniversary. During the scheduling process, Amanda had mentioned that they had never had any formal wedding photos when they were married. And yes, she wanted to wear her wedding dress for our shoot. I was super excited! Knowing that they had two daughters, my mind instantly went to visions of bride, groom, and flower girls.
Our day turned out perfect. Their "wedding photos" turned out beautifully, and it really has that whole princess, fairytale, happily ever after vibe. And honestly, who doesn't love the beach. It totally set the tone!
